Annual Austin Events

If you can only attend one Austin kink event this year, make it one of these.

• GWNN BASH is an annual conference featuring classes, vendors, keynote dinners, and parties. It hosts the Heartland Person of Leather Contest.
• The Hunt is Bound By Desire's annual country run (for women only) in October in the beautiful Texas hill country. Women do not have to be a member to attend the Hunt.

Austin Groups

• Austin TNG ("The Next Generation" Austin Chapter) is a group for young adults interested in an Alternative Lifestyle, kink, B.D.S.M., etc. The mission of this group is to create a safe, positive, encouraging environment for young adults to meet one another to build a support group of peers interested in kink. TNG serves persons aged 18-35.
• Bat City Leather ATX: Bat City Leather aims to create a space where anyone can learn about Leather and build community through social activities. You do not have to identify as Leather to participate. We don’t believe in gatekeeping the “Leather experience” - we encourage people to ask questions as well as share their stories and perspectives on Leather. Your journey or path in Leather is your own and we respect and celebrate that individuality! This is a social group that happens to be sex-positive. While connections of a more intimate nature may happen naturally, this group is intentionally not designed for folks to find or solicit hookups. This is to help ensure the community focus of the group does not get lost. Ultimately, we are here to have fun, meet people and do Leather stuff.
• Bound By Desire is the oldest BD/SM club in Texas for women only. They write  "We are NOT politically correct.  We support everyone's right to a safe, sane and consensual lifestyle."  They hold socials every 3rd Saturday of the month from 2 - 4. All interested women are invited to attend to meet other leather women and get acquainted with our club. Their meetings and parties are held every other month. April, June, August, and December. They sponsor The HUNT -- their annual country run -- in October in the beautiful Texas hill country. Women do not have to be a member to attend the Hunt.
• ClubFEM-Austin: a social organization composed of individuals who want to develop sincere Female Dominant/male submissive relationships. Fem Dommes are in charge of the activities at all times; and, ClubFEM Dommes are considerate and caring women who want the D/s experience to be enjoyable for all participants. All participants in ClubFEM must be at least 21 years of age and must be biologically or post-op/and identify as Female Dominant and/or male submissive.
• Group With No Name (GWNN) is Austin's largest pansexual BDSM group. It hosts socials on the 2nd Saturday of every month.

• Join Kinky in South Side (KiSS) in keeping the long-running tradition of South Austin munches in South Austin. Their munches are once a month at 7 p.m. on a Wednesday in a South Austin public location.
• MAsT: Austin. The Austin chapter of Masters And slaves Together. It is a pansexual support and discussion group for those interested in the Master-Mistress/slave or Dominant/submissive relationship. Persons of any gender and sexual orientation are welcome.

Austin Night Clubs, Bars, and Live Performance

• Austin Eagle Bar and Grill at 8201 Cross Park Dr B2.
  Super friendly staff. Good bar food. More of a leather friendly LGBTQ+ community bar, but it's the closest thing Austin has to a leather bar since the Chain Drive closed. The inside has leather decor and dance club lighting. It's very clean and inviting. The enclosed patio has a boot black station and a St. Andrews cross. It's the current home bar for Onyx Pearls Lustre Southwest and future home bar of the Foundry ATX. No glass cabinets for club colors and memorabilia when I visited (a month after opening) but maybe in time the management will install them. The ownership and staff really want to create something special: Our mission is to create a neighborhood bar that provides good food during the day and amazing drinks at night to our fetish community. At The Austin Eagle, you can be yourself, this is a judgment free zone for our fetish community. I hope it prospers and that the BDSM and Leather groups will support it. (May 19, 2023)

• Austin Gears: The longest running Gear Night in the USA and second only to Berlin world wide. We welcome your involvement. Currently taking place at the Iron Bear.
• The Chain Drive closed in 2015.
  As the Austin American-Statesman stated when it was open: Chain Drive’s bad-boy reputation — it’s the closest thing to a true leather bar in Austin and formerly housed a shop for sex toys — is also what draws some. Several organizations, including the Boys of Leather, Heart of Texas Bears and the Capital City Riders — a gay motorcycling group formed at the bar — hold monthly cookouts and parties at the bar. From many years it operated on a short selcuded street on the periphery of the historic Rainey Street Entertainment District (Southeast of the Austin Convention Center.)
